About

Solo service owners shouldn't have to be receptionists too.

WithStaff started because the people who are best at the craft spend half their week on jobs the craft doesn't require.

01Why it exists

An AI team, not another piece of software you have to learn.

Most small service businesses are run by one person who trained for the work — the wellness practitioner, the coach, the trainer, the contractor — and who, by accident of running a business, became the receptionist, the marketer, the scheduler, and the bookkeeper all at once.

For years the only fix was to hire those roles one at a time, at a cost most solo operators can't justify. WithStaff is the other option. An AI team that does the work, with the owner in the loop on anything that goes directly to a customer.

02Where it started

San Jose, California.

The first WithStaff install is live with a wellness studio in San Jose, CA. The owner is a practitioner who would rather be practicing. We're working with that studio in the open, learning what actually moves the needle in a real service business instead of guessing.

What works there becomes the playbook for the next customer. What doesn't work gets caught and fixed before anyone else sees it.

03What we believe
01
The owner's time is the most expensive thing in a solo business.
The product should defend it. If a feature makes work easier for us but takes more time from the operator, we don't ship it.
02
Customer relationships aren't the place to get cute with automation.
Every customer-facing message stays human-approved by default. For the first 30 days, no exceptions. After that, you decide what relaxes.
03
Your business data is yours.
It lives in your install, on hardware you can point to or in a VM dedicated to you. Not in a shared bucket. Not used to train models.
04
Honest limits beat oversold features.
We'll tell you what we don't do yet. The integrations list is short on purpose. We'd rather add things based on real requests than copy a feature page.
04Who it's for

Anyone whose business runs on appointments and follow-up.

Solo and small (1–5 person) service businesses where the owner is also the practitioner. Wellness is the first vertical we know inside out. The same shape fits coaches, trainers, salons, tutors, and contractors who do site visits.

If that sounds like you, we'd like to talk.
